Personally I don't think it is something I would use
Yeah of course we all have different requirements !
My reasoning was that if I'm ever stuck out in the cold and wet my priority is to get a shelter and fire done as quickly as possible before I start losing dexterity in my fingers. I'm pretty confident that this will chop through shelter sized branches quicker or at least as quick as my Chopweiler. My need then turns to a fire, where I live the wood on the ground is nearly always rotten and brittle so becomes useless as a batton ( I have tried this many times when I had my Dumpster mutt ), with my Knatchet I can just chop into any fatwood I find to get some decent sized pieces off. I can then choke up on the blade and make some fuzz sticks from small branches, it's 3/16" stock and fine convexed edge should make easy work of these. My Dumpster Mutt sucked at fuzz sticks, my Chopweiler does these very well however. So I guess between my Chopweiler and Knatchet most needs could be met, I just feel that the Knatchet will be slightly more versatile !
