It's meant to be braided fishing line but it works great for snares, triplines, shelter construction, etc.
Either the Specrta (spiderwire) or the Stren Kevlar will work. The Spectra seems to fray less so I generally keep plenty of that around. It also comes in green so it's practically invisible in the bush.
