I find hand-shaped NMSFNO handles more comfortable. I should note however, that the hand-shaped option added $60 to the price of a NMSFNO, making it cost $40 more than a BWM, and it's pretty obvious from MMs picture that the BWM is significantly more knife.

I agree wholeheartedly. The hand-shaped NMSFNO handle is the most comfortable Busse handle I've used. It fills the hand well, with no hot spots or pressure points.

The BWBM handle is WAY more comfortable than the Fusion handle, which I absolutely hate.

In all cases, I almost never wear gloves when I chop. I want to keep my hands toughened up, both because I'm a rock climber and it helps out there, but also because, if I am carrying one of these knives camping or backpacking, I am highly unlikely to have work gloves with me.

Also, the BWBM isn't really much more knife than the NMSFNO. The BWBM weighs 606 grams. The NMSFNO is 593. A difference of 13 grams in weight is pretty insignificant.

It makes it a lot easier to justify carrying the BWBM in the woods instead of the NMSFNO, that's for sure!
