It can be expensive but every now and then you can find a decent deal there. Blade Forum is a good place to find Scrap Yard knives also. It is best to get them from the factory new but like many of us...there are going to be knives that you really want that just aren't available any more and that will require you to pay a little more and get them from somewhere like Blade Forum or E-Bay. I have purchased from both without any issues.
