Oh I've got snares and a thousand ways to rig them. The SS is an "I'm out of ammo" back-up or to take something without spooking other small game.
With snares you will ALWAYS have a wait to deal with.

Of course the Regulator is really accurate too. I've gotten quite good over the last few years with the "no-flip" throw for larger fixed blades. I suggest trying it. The Reg. is (for me) the ideal weight for it.
