Paper is a little heavier I think? And more prone to breaking I would imagine. The canvas will be more prone to color change from fluids (like the grease on your skin).
Paper is smoother, canvas is grippier. I prefer canvas.
So, I ordered a HRLM, people seem to really love the RMD.. They seem very similar to me, and the HRLM has about a 4 inch blade as far as I can tell.
Why would you pick one over the other?
I am loaded with knifes in the RMD size range, but everyone says it is the Perfect knife, so I need to see what all the fuss is about.
For me the HRLM is a tweener size that I don't have much use for. If I want a worker I go bigger and if I want an EDC I go smaller.
