I'm trying to get one to someone that would actually use it in the field. When Dan said he had military orders I guess I assumed most any soldier could have one. Heaven forbid our men and women that are trained to fight and kill should be trusted with sharp objects.
You would be surprised how PC some commands are. It depends on the unit and where they are. Most combat units would allow a large fixed blade in the field. Best check with the service member first before sending the knife, is all I'm saying.
