This is an old thread but good info on the ren wax.
I have my main collection in a Stanley watertight jumbo tool box. The rubber gasket provides a real tight seal and they are only 30 bucks at the big box man store, menards.

It has a lot of room inside

Due to the high humidity and flooding I am looking into getting one of these. The price hurts but if it can save my collection of infi for the price of one knife i think i should invest in one.

I keep the knives out of their sheaths in knife zippered cases with the blade oiled and wrapped in plain white wrapping paper and a moisture absorbent pack in each one.
