Thanks for the info, I guess I'll keep an eye on the forum. I thought something was wrong with the ordering site, but in reality it is always "out of stock" (almost). Looks like I'll wait until the next run. These knives (and the philosophy) really attracted me, form follows function!

JMosh, If you think you are attracted to them in print... you will gouge your eyes out in disbelief when you finally own one! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> These blades are insane. The SR-77 "Jackhammer bit tool grade steel" in massaged into a chemical and molecular toughness by Dan Busse. You will NEVER find a better value in a blade in your life. FACT not opinion. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" />
The release before last was the nine inch "cutting edge" Dog Father. Dan did a lateral stress test with the blade locked into a vise. The handle end he attached to a four foot breaker bar. He photographed every step for us. Next he began wrenching on the bar. It only stopped because the bar hit the ground and the test could go no further.
I believe it was bent to 70% and DID NOT FAIL!!! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif" alt="" />
Show me another blade that can top that? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/banghead.gif" alt="" />
J, it is good advise to settle in here, enjoy the friendships and laughter. Not to mention real fact finding and blade tests by some fantastic members. Enjoy your stay, and very soon Dan will announce his latest creation.
He ALWAYS gives US ONLY a 48 hour and then a 24 hour notice before putting blades up for sale.
That will be your chance to snag what EVERYONE is squealing about.

The best bang for the buck in blades... PERIOD. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

Oh, and welcome friend to the Scrap Yard Forums!!!

Peace.

I am not sure this kind of information is making it easier to wait! This is just why I NEED one, no SEALS claims, "Tanto" tips or skinny handles. From all I have read (probably too much) Dan has figured out how to take this steel and make it do some amazing stuff. Didn't somebody show some picks of hacking up a cinder block at one point?

Knives, because we were born without claws!
