I lost a $100.00 dollar bet to my father today.......here's the story. My dad, and I were throwing my tomahawk at a distance of about 18ft. My dad has never thrown a tomahawk before let alone handled one. He got the hang of it by about his tenth throw. He was then regularly getting full blade sticks on every throw at this distance. My dad is in his late sixties, and a former Marine. He was starting to get bored at this distance, and suggested that we move back some. No problem I said. He says lets DOUBLE the distance! We move back to exactly 30 measured feet. Not exactly double, but still plenty far. I go first, and get a good stick. He says "How much do you want to bet that I can stick it at this distance".
I say $100.00, and I'll give you three tries. His first throw goes way off, and crashes low in the dirt. At this point my dad moves further back, and gets a running start to the 30 foot line. With a hearty growl he lets loose with the hawk. It does about 6 rotations, and sticks squarely with a nice thud. HOLY----! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gif" alt="" /> He nails it. I run into the house grab a $100.00 dollar bill, and place it in his hand. I'll remember this event forever. I love my dad.
