I too have been shopping for a "strong folder" !
Have you found one yet?
Which are you considering?

Here's my list so far..:

-Strider folders ($350-400 new) ouch.. too much for my blood
-Sebanza folders (not sure $ ?) prolly outta my range.
-SwampRat Rat Trap, ~$250++? 2ndary
-Spyderco Manix 95mm (~$115 new + $7 s&h) i'm Really leaning towards this one..
-Spyderco: Mini-Manix 83mm, Chinook, Military, Para-Military.. (in rough order of decreasing strength)

Unfortunately I don't know much about folders by Benchmade, Emerson, Buck, etc..

So far i'm leaning towards the Spyderco Manix 95mm.. with the smaller Mini-Manix 83mm being considered for easier carry..
