I have a similar tin from Sweden. The brand is "Trangia", but it is not waterproof. I've thought about putting parafin on around the lid to H20proof the whole thing, but then just stuck it in a Ziplock Freezer Bag.

I used one of these as a basis for my wife's "hiking kit". Its a handy way to organize little items.
