The only 154CM blades I've owned was a pair of Benchmade Fixed Griptilians. I was not even remotely impressed by those knives. It really didnt' have anything to do with the material though - I hated the "flat" feeling grip design.
Another small (3.5" x .125" ???) 154CM from the Yard would most certainly find its way into my collection.
About three weeks ago my wife was struggling with her Cutco Kitchen knives so I pulled out my HD convexed UM and finished the job. After dinner (while cleaning up) my wife commented on how she likes using her S5 and my UM for food prep while camping.
