Apparently, Van Winkle finally released the Fall shipments to the Louisville area a couple days ago -- we stopped by one Liquor Barn, not really expecting to find that it had arrived, but we were in the neighborhood. Deliveries are small -- most liquor stores only receive a couple bottles; Liquor Barn is the only place I've found that admits to receiving a few cases per store, and that usually sells out in about a week. They had 10yo RVW in 90-proof (they said they also had 107, but I prefer the flavor of the 90-proof). They also had 12yo (Lot "B") and 23yo Pappy, but sold out of 15 and 20yo the day they arrived. I bought a couple bottles of 10yo and asked them to call around to check on 15yo Pappy. They found one bottle at the Fern Valley store, so I had them put it on hold and ran over to buy it. I haven't decided if I'll ever drink it, or just hold onto that 15yo and stick to sipping the 10yo, but I was very happy to find a bottle. The 15yo was about $60 (after tax), which is nearly twice the price of 10yo; the best after-tax price I've found on the 23yo is about $225, and I've seen it priced at over $300 (before tax) in some liquor stores. 23yo Pappy Van Winkle is something I'll probably never taste.
