I think that the 6.5 and the Milreg handle is that way to ensure it can be used hour after hour without producing problems, hotspots and blisters in the using hand. Now it will NOT fit every hand, that is an impossibility. EVERY handle put on a knive, except for those done one at a time by a handle maker, but that particular person will always be a compromise. No way around it. All ANY manufacturer can do is try and fit the most people as comfortably as possible.
