I get about 22 (estimated) mpgs from the patriot, even though it's only a 4 banger and a 2wd at that. I did a bit of driving with the Dodge today after I get it insured and temp tags, and the gas gauge didn't seem to go down that much. It does have about a 24 gallon tank though, since what it normally cost me to fill the jeep up only got me half a tank from E. Since it will mostly be used to get to work and back, and I'm not far from work, I don't expect to have to fill it up but every two weeks or so. It's when I start heading up into the woods this summer that it'll get more frequent. The good news is if they approve the refi loan, my payments will go down to 175$ a month for 2 years. Should have quite a bit more pocket cash after that. My crew lead at work owns a '97 Ram 1500, same color and everything, and he says he gets around 22 mpgs highway. I'm also going to swap in some locking hubs when I have the extra cash, that ought to decrease my power consumption a bit.
