Hart, Yes they would also be my BOB picks. BUT as SAR pointed out the Grohmann. I almost picked it over the Fallkniven as I like that blade shape and the raised handle, but went with the F1 because you hear more about it. PLUS with the exposed butt you COULD pound it point first into something if needed.
Your right the f1 has the ability to hammer, but the grohmann is a great outdoor knife.
