Oh wait, I DO have some gold. I have a 1/2 baht gold chain from Thailand, had it so long I forgot about it.
1/2 baht is about 1/4 oz. Spot gold is about $1,470/oz.
Not a bad chunk of gold, maybe close to cost of a Busse Muk?
My mom grew up in Thailand so I have a couple Thai gold chains in the bank vault that I got as graduation presents. Common to give gold over cash in a country like Thailand with a less stable monetary/banking system.
