Patience may be a virtue but I'd of cancelled by now... (life's too short!). At risk of being lynched by the BCAA I think I may wait for the Scrapper 9 and give the bowie a miss... A couple of reasons- a false (or worse- a sharp top edge) would chew up a baton rather than drive the blade through the wood; second, using the point to whittle would be harder on your thumb with a false edge. (a complaint I have with my CRKT Kasper). Actually in addition I'd rather have .275 than .25 in the tang...
