I soaked a paper towel, the cheap store brand, in lime juice and wrapped it around the blade. Tightened it down with a couple rubber bands and a twist tie, and walked away. I had actually intended for the paper towel to apply a even-ish patina, but when i peeled the paper towel off, i guess the texture of the towel didnt apply juice as evenly as i had expected.
