I've had a couple of them, but only kept one. I like the one-handed operation, but the construction is a little flimsy. Be careful, or you will break off the "swinging cap".

They work better at making fire (without highly combustible tender like petrol jelly on cotton balls) than a standard "fire steel" because they throw the sparks straight down into the tender bundle.
