Miles you telling someone to modify something, change it (which they might not know anything about) that you feel is better is not a good idea.

you can do whatever you want to your stuff but to imply "it's the best thing for everyone and everything" is ludicrous and irresponsible.

the factory coating may not be covered but if he ruins his blade (doing it wrong or getting hurt) will not be in his best interest, why I suggested he contact Dan and find out the truth and what is best.
