I was to fly to LA on Sept 14 (my time, 13 yours) but it was the 15th before I got going. It was a sad yet somewhat inspirational time to be in the US (I spent the next 7 weeks there and vividly remember driving in Montana late at night when the first announcements about Missiles and Troops into Arsecrackestan was made. It had also just started to snow.
