AndrewS, you might consider the Rodent Solution on sale over at Swamp Rat Knives. It's got a blade size perfect for small whitetails. I'd also check out the Hairy Carry and/or the Vex. You can sometimes pick 'em up on the secondary market for reasonable prices. The RS is SR101, the HC is 154CM, and the Vex is D2.

The Yard Muk is a well designed blade. I've used it to butcher two deer. I like the feel--although a bit thinner would be nice for this blade--and the sweep of the blade that still provides a useable tip is fantastic. It "dulled" MUCH faster than the SR101, but not horribly--I gave it a few swipes on a ceramic rod after 1 and a half deer and it was shaving sharp again.

The HC is next in the hopper for deer duty. It has a MUCH more useable choil than the RS and is just a SLIGHT bit shorter than the RS. I am really looking forward to that one. I see that as being a heckuva deer blade. I'm sure it would work great on antelope as well <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

I did consider an RS for a while but I thought it would be too close in use as my Scrapivore so I passed. I didn't realize they were still available though so I might have to pick one up. This is the skinner I got from bladeforums:
