And in addition to what Arch said, you might want to think about adding part of a broken off hacksaw blade. It would work as a striker for the ferro rod and you would be surprised what you can cut with a 3 or 4 inch piece of a broken off hacksaw. Actually if you were to attach it with a small bolt (chicago screw would probably be better, you can find them in steel now) you could put it right where you have your prybar attaches and swing it out, using the sheath as a handle!
When I carried a magnesium bar I also kept a section of hacksaw blade with it for "shaving material off the bar" and striking the embedded ferro rod.
