That is the official description of one of my fellow combat correspondent's video for Marines TV. There is something the description doesn't mention nor is it mentioned in the video itself - Lance Cpl. Daniel Lagoze took shrapnel to the face and continued filming when he regained his orientation. You can get an idea how close the mortar landed at 3:17 of the video.
Lagoze is fine with a minor war scar and the Marine who got flown out is alive and recovering in Landstuhl Regional Medical Facility I have been told.
