I have gathered that a "sterile" knife is one without the Scrap Yard or whatever makers logo on it . But why are they made that way ? After all the makers mark is free advertising every time someone shows their knife . Are there any differences in one with or without the logo , other than the missing logo ?
"Sterile" knives are associated with military type orders. If a knife is dropped or left behind there is no direct idenity that can be made.
