That being said, I would really like to know who came up with the crescent prong pommel design of the Waki and what is its purpose??? I can't figure it out. Is it just for aesthetics?

So my guess is the pommel on the Wacki is so it can be lashed to the Rucki. Thoughts?

Also generally interested in thoughts on the Rucki as a machete. Trying to figure out if I'm just trying to force a square peg of want (a really cool sword) into the round round hole of need (a good machete).
