All of my fielded knives have plain kydex sheaths or Spec-Ops Brand "Combat Master Sheaths" which consist of a 1000D sheath and removable kydex liner.

The Combat Master version has a pocket on the front that I use to hold some very basic items:

* Sharpening Stone
* LMF Ferro Rod
* Bic "Mini" Butane Lighter
* Streamlight Nano Flashlight

This isn't an operational kit as much as a last ditch kit. The belt the sheath hangs from has water, shelter, fire, etc.
