Took the boys out camping along the C&O Canal near Sharpsburg MD. Did a little testing of the 711 and brought along the Dogfather for some serious fun. Initial impressions of the 711? It's not gonna replace the Chopweiler anytime soon. That said, it handles itself very nicely: chopping isn't a problem for it and it seems up for just about any camp related chores.

For kicks, I compared its chopping ability to the Dogfather. Know what? No comparison <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

20 whacks with each reveals WHY the Dogfather is the ULTIMATE chopper from the Yard!

After the camping, we went on a self-guided car tour of Antietam Battlefield.

And now for some pics!
