Freedom is never free.

Honoring all those who served and still serve today. Never forget the men and women who gave their lives so that we could have our freedom.
Hooker, thank you for reminding us what Memorial Day is really about. Barbecues are great, but I ask all to take a moment during your festivities to raise a glass of your favorite beverage and give a toast to those who have have served and especially those who have paid the ultimate price for our freedom. I am not asking you to make a speech, just a moment of silence will do. Then, of course, have fun.
I say this after getting news this morning a friend of mine, a soldier, lost his life in the line of action. He didn't die down range where he received his wounds, but in a hospital in Bethesda with his family by his side. He got a chance to say goodbye, which is more than many get.
