Yes, I have considered the 3-11, I was just wanting the blade a little longer than my EDC folder which is a Spyderco Paramilitary 2 that has a 3-1/2" blade. I just wish I could hold them all in my hand first before making a decision.
So your spyderco is a great edc, but when you are kickin it in the wilderness, you don't want a knife that's already broken in the middle. I vote for the 311as a perfect piggy back companion.
