I very, very much like the War Dog and the War Dog grip (as I do the Regulator grip and the Mudder grip). The Pork Shank grip is very thin and the blade is thinner than the War Dog, but I have been using it more than the War Dog lately. A thin grip is only a negative to me when I'm using the knife for something harsh like chopping. That's when I'd rather have something bigger in my hands. I do not "intend" to chop with any of those, but I would choose the War Dog if I had to choose one for chopping. I can baton with the War Dog, the S5, and the Pork Shank.

Other than the blade thickness, the War Dog and Pork Shank handle most jobs similarly for me. The thinner blade of the PS does some things better, maybe. Maybe it's just a temporary phase I'm going through choosing G10 or Micarta over Res-C, and that will probably change back and forth over time.

This thread at Blade Forums has a picture of a Pork Shank, a War Dog, and an S5LE. One of these three (or another copy) is with me at all times.
