Systema has been the new thing after the krav maga phase. You can see it in some movies such as batman and the watchman.

Alot of the russian martial arts reminds me of adaptations of japanese styles. I once read that some japanese martial arts instructors moved to russia and taught their spetsnaz.

You can see judo/jujitsu in sambo, karate in some of their stand up fighting, and aikido in systema.
