I guess the prayers for me helped, too. Had my VA checkup today. Lost 23 lbs eating beef, pork, bacon and eggs and drinking lots of beer. BP down, too. Go figure. Low carbs (less bread, rice, grits, mashed potatoes) seems to really work. I did increase fruits and vegetables to offset the carb cravings. It helped to have a caring, loving partner, too.
