Decided after several seasons of blasting stove wood with my beloved Battle Rat to strip and blue her. I must say it was the hardest coating to remove I have ever dealt with. Started with Strypeeze and it could not get it done! Had to go to the Ace Hardware extra strength to get it finished. I bought the $13 Birchwood Casey Blueing kit that Wal Mart sells and gave it a whirl. Here is how it turned out. My BR is pictured with her Blued and Tattooed cousin. I think based on how it turned out that going forward the patina is just going to get better and better each time I need to blue. It was a fun project. Going to be even funner to blast some pin oak with her again this weekend!
