I can't stand to pay for something that will sit in the safe and never be used. If I can't/won't use it, it has to go. Just like any other tool, they were meant to be used.
I can understand that I look at it like this. If the SHTF like some of us think it could, I will have some of the best steel made in mint condition to use or barter with. I also collect Zippos I have close to 100 of them from some of my old users that I used while in the service to 500 dollar rare ones, again I use a select few and the rest are in cases in my library for me to enjoy looking at. They too will be used if the SHTF out of necessity and for bartering.
