You know Gary, AFF might be onto something with the SAR 5. You could strip off the scales, cut the handle down to the last rivet hole (use it as a lanyard hole) and go from there. You could even re-profile the blade to the length and exact shape you wanted, but I think the shape it is would work if it was 4 inches long.

Heck if you did it and didn't like it I bet you wouldn't have any problem getting rid of it.
