Finally busted a cull buck…freaky looking dear with only two deformed points on the left side, and a full, normal looking 4 points on the right (of what would normally be on a typical 8-point).

Anyhow, got a chance to break out the Bog Dog. Got a little dirty. Oooiii…that 5.56 TSX does some damage. Who says you can't hit a heart with a 4 moa Red Dot?

Bog Dog did great gutting this dear. Love the FFG, and the large choil is no issue for me…MUCH preferred over the small elf choils (more to come on that).

I ended up using my 340 to skin and process the meat off this buck. Primarily, because I got the 340 late last season, and have not yet had a chance to use it for deer hunting. Needless to say, I was just disappointed. The choil caught on the meat constantly…had me wishing I had my Gene Ingrams. The 340 will go on the exchange…can't see a need for "me" to keep it. It will make a good home with someone else.

Once home…I cooked up the tenderloins fresh…never frozen! Just baked them (trying to keep it healthy)…not the best way, but felt good eating them (it's 28 outside in Austin freakin Texas…give me a break….too cold to grill.

After I washed up…decided to make a PB&J for Lucas. He was grateful, and this solidified the Bog Dog in my lineup. Both the 340, and the CABS LE, will go to new homes. Additionally…don't think I'll be needing a Mud Mutt after all laugh

Nevermind the drugs, paper plates, etc. It's all prop laugh Well, the drugs are for our 15 yr old dog…to help her heart work better.

Night, Dogs!
