For anyone who is interested...
This is a VEPR which is Russian and it is built on an RPK receiver. Based on what I have read it is supposed to be one of the more accurate AKs. I have only fired it once and I was just shooting junk out in a field so I didn't get to really test the accuracy.

i *really* regret selling my SKS (Russian, forged receiver).. it was a Beaut compared to some friends' chinese & yugoslav built SKS's.. i mean they all "worked" but Mine was better <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
i Abused the Heck outta mine, left uncleaned for Months at a time, fed it the Cheapest surplus fodder i could find, it NEVER jammed on me!
..i was gonna sporterize it.. but then sold it <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" /> ::oh regrets!::
