Another knife born from the “Brotherhood Of The Yard”, Scrap Yard is proud to present the new Safety Mutt (SM). From the same conversation that took place within the Yard and brought you the Mud Mutt, comes a knife with even more character. The howls from the Yard yelped for a Mutt with more heft and a grip that would be hard to misplace. A tall order for sure, but the SYKCO Team has come up with a much thicker blade for the new Safety Mutt that sports a grip that seems to glow with brightness. This knife is dressed in a Hunter Orange Mudder handle made of Resiprene C and is visible from afar. While it may not guarantee the loss of your knife it will ensure that the owner knows if it has gone missing. The knife sports the same 5.25” blade as the Mud Mutt and is in same shape and design.

The steel is made from approximately 3/16” thick of SR101 steel. Like its brother it also tested out with outrageous results stemming from the Busse heat treat process. Increasing the thickness by more than 30% over the Mud Mutt provided the lords of torture even more fun as they beat on this blade like it was their only hope for survival…oh the insanity of it all. This knife proves once again that SR101 is a champ and builds on the performance levels seen in the Mud Mutt. Priced at $119.95 it continues the tradition of delivering the best performance to price ratio in the business.

This should be up on the site in the next few days

Enjoy

Dan
