Oh and JJ had some plans for an organic toilet composter. It was pretty neat setup. Septic system.

Septic system is what I lived with until I joined the Military and we got "City utilities". First house I bought was in 1981 in Mountain Home Idaho. MAYBE 800 sqft.

I knew about the supply/demand thing, sort of. I was just talking general ball park for an average home, A/C, fridge, furnace blower, lights ....

Randy, it doesn't work like that. Square foot of living space, ceiling heights, percentage of facade that has glass, glazing quality, insulation values and installation type, appliance efficiencies, lighting type (incandescent, CFL, LED), and a big one: CLIMATE ZONE (Alaska is a little different than Arizona), etc.
An average home where you are is different than an average home in Florida or New York.
It simply isn't a "average solar system cost xxxx" situation.

I was talking about average consumption. But then again, as you said, that will also vary from place to place.

I thought I would just post pics of the two guns I am most proud to own. They're actually my two most prized material possessions. I would sell my house before I would sell one of these. The top one is a Winchester Model 1890 that both my father and grandfather learned to shoot with. It is chambered in .22 Long and was manufactured in 1901. The bottom one is a Weatherby Mark V that my mom bought my dad in 1981. I don't have a pic but I have my great grandfathers Winchester model 1897 take down trap 16ga. I feel like you. Wouldn't trade it for anything.
When I went to youth pheasant hunts as a kid I had guys trying to buy it from me right then and there lol
