While checking out places in the Smokies, she wondered how much farther it was to Savannah.

Savannah is about 5 hours from here. So, probably 6-7 hours depending on the route.

Charleston and Savannah are a lot alike.

That's just outside of Charleston. I could spend all day there taking pics, and still not see it all.

I need to make another trip to Charleston, but we will probably wait til Fall to make that ride.

It's too dang hot and humid in the middle of the summer.

Of course, there's the beaches, but in town is miserable when it's really hot.

Yeah I wouldn't want to be there in summer.

Didn't you say Patty couldn't take the heat very well?

If so, you'd definitely want to go in the late fall.

Or early spring.
