I hated the folding charging handle. Way to slow to get into action. I prefer the Izzy version with built in forward assist.

From a preping and fighting stand point the scar is light, agile, compact, simple. And accurate. The forward charging handle is nice along with the folding stock.
It it may be purchased before my lmt mws.... So sweet!!!

I would love to have one, but there's no way I could budget for one. No sense in shopping for a Ferrari I can't afford.

Off topic - I was just browsing Gun Broker and saw a revolver identical to the one I bought used in 2003 for $425 presently at $1664, and it hasn't hit the reserve yet with 8 days left. First time that has happened to me.

Funny, I was on a recent range day with both the SCAR 16 and 17 (with FA switches) and while great rifles, they just didn't blow my skirt up, I know that a few hundred rounds is nothing definitive but still, in 5.56 I have to say the M4 makes more sense to me (or a LWRC version)thank the SCAR, in 7.62 it was more interesting but still. The P90 (within its role) was something I have to say smile smile

All my mates in the US with SCARs love them so I am certainly not saying there is a thing wrong with them either...!!! I just could not figure out what I was not getting on the day... laugh

I find the 5.7x28 cartridge to be interesting, but every person I have seen at the range with a Five Seven has been a total DB.
