I just checked the auction site and found one like you're describing. Moss Green blade? I was temped by that one myself. I had a Moss Green RS and found the coating to be surprisingly low drag. I attribute that to the dimples in the coating....like a golf ball.

That's the first one I've seen with "SWAMP RAT."

Yes, I think Eric told me he picked those up at KC. I didn't know if there was a design change or just a logo change.

I had a Moss Green S5, and agree it's very smooth / low drag.

I'm pretty excited about trying a Vex. The design is a big departure from typical offerings. I'd like to see more in this vein.

I'm still sorting thru my thoughts on INFI vs SR101 in small (less than 6") blades.

The design appears to be the same to me.

The last few Swamp Rats I've bought have had finer edges than the ones I've bought in the past. A good thing.

Just scored another BATAC and Chuddy Bear sheath... smile Here in Aus no less... laugh Very happy with that as I have said before the BATAC is firming up as a real favourite of mine..!!!

Also spent a couple of hundred at the local fun shop... some Federal Buckshot, a few hundred Rem 9.5M primers, a Lyman had priming tool and a trimmer pilot... laugh Made an offer and then went to the shop, maybe I should have waited to see if the offer was accepted first...LOL Such is life... laugh laugh

Congrats Andy. The Post Office was kind to me today. My Axe Hammer arrived.

I'm sure one will pop up.

Just so you know...it is just a SJTAC. There is nothing different about it and the MO SJTACs I've owned except the scales are G10 and it says "AXE" on it.

What can anyone tell me about the busse wardens? I see they are on sale on a certain website. I really dig the shorter thinner blade. How is the handle length and comfort?

I don't have one in my hands, but it definitely looks like a Jack Hammer to me. SJTAC with a clip point. I remember the SFM-1 knives being sold as SJTACs, but I still consider them to be Jack Hammers.

Here's a Jack Hammer that I no longer own.

GD, are you talking about the Game Wardens? There is a large variation in blade thicknesses. .13" - .27".
