Yea I am. I am aware of the variations. I was looking at one with .140" handle. I have been looking at getting a Bark River Gunny Hunter. The BR has a slightly longer blade and more scale options but I cant get the warden out of my head.

The wardens do have comfy handles. The Gunny handle feels a little cramped to me.

I am going to have to hurry on one of those Axe Hammers before you guys buy them all up, it hurts the steel budget that taxes take months to pay off the additional ammount that they have wanted recently. Andy if I hurry up and get in the posision to buy one I will let you know and we can work something out.

Arch - You DO need help. Did you snag that Vex today because you received your other one and just had to have more? Or are you still waiting on the first one?

Gary, the Axehammer is a variant of the Jackhammer! wink

Adam,

At one time I had (2) SFM-1, (1) "Afghan", and (2) normal SJTAC. The only difference between the "regular" SJTACs and the SFM-1 seemed to be the clip point.

The Axe Hammer is very much like the SFM-1, except perhaps the Sabre grind. If I remember correctly, my SFM-1s had more of a FFG.

I only have the AH now so I can't compare.

Well score! I can strike "Jackhammer variant" off my list of "I'd like to own".

I'm still waiting for the first, but I'm selling all of my wife's bruisers. She loves black & blue G10...so I thought I'd grab a cheaper one for her to use instead of all of those safe queens she is afraid to touch.

Tom,

Did you have a SFM-1 SJTAC? Was it actually a Hammer variant? I'm going to try to find a picture of one I owned to post.
