Don't know if you've had one or not, but how would you compare it to the SS4? I know it's thinner (I like that).

I've only held one SS4, and didn't care for the balance. The Leaner Meaner (and High Street - just a LM variant) are my favorite small Busse. I have...several...and am only selling those two.
In fact, the LM is the ONLY small Busse I'm going to keep.
They're often listed as the best EDC by people online. Others like the BAD, but I like the size and blade profile of the LM better.
Regarding the SS4 vs LM...
1) Do you prefer Res-C or Full Tang with Scales? 2) Do you prefer a thinner profile? 3) Do you prefer a "full size" knife with a short blade or a scaled down knife?
The LM is a "smaller" knife, but not so small as to be too little to be practical. The SS4 is a medium knife with a small blade.

I am just now to the point (well for a few years, although I still like me some big blades) where I am appreciating the smaller blade. For MOST of us a smaller blade is just the better option for every day lifestyle and use. I mean really,(me included) how many of us REALLY need to carry a 7 plus inch blade "Out there" during normal activities. I mean just hiking in familiar areas/known dangers and good weather.

QUOTED FOR TRUTH!How many times have I said this on here recently???? This is why I keep begging for bushcraft sized offerings, including skellys. This is also why I've bought two Vexs in a couple of days, four Leaner Meaners, one High Street, one Pork Shank, one Boss Street, two Culti in the past MONTH.

Big blades are a lot of fun, but they really aren't all that practical.

The older, more experienced, and wiser I get - the more I appreciate lighter / simpler / more practical gear.
What you think you need, and what you really need are pretty different in the real world.
If I had to run to hills to survive, whatever, I wouldn't waste weight on a giant knife that could be used to carry: water, food, or AMMO. I'd probably take something in the 7" range and a small bushcrafter.

For just walking around like today...I'll take a 4" fixed full tang everyday.
In fact, I do!

I have a theory. The Sus Scrofa didn't sell as well Busse had hoped, so they reground the surplus and called them High Streets. Hence the slight recurve.
