I use to like big choppers (well I stiil do) but ever since I got my HRLM, the smaller ~4" blades really appeal to me. They are small enough to use as EDC's but big/tough enough to baton nice size logs with. I looking forward to the SYKC "Growler", I like the fact that it has really no choil. With a blade size like that it is going to be nice to have the extra cutting space, epecially when you choke up on it.
Growler....can't wait!

I wouldn't count on the choil being that small on the producation version. Every one of the pre-production pictures shows that tiny choil. None of the production pieces have had that feature.

A 4" knife does not need a choil.. It needs all the sharp bit it can have! It's (choil) the one small minor fault on the nearly perfect SS4.
