Man, I have no use for paper micarta.
True, canvas can absorb some oil on the surface. It cleans up with some dish soap and a brush easy enough.
It's a shame we don't see more linen. It is easily my favorite. I don't have any Busse-kin with it at the moment, but I do have a Spyderco Street Beat with polished linen that I've been meaning to scuff up with some sandpaper. Maybe this weekend.

I don't think I've owned any linen micarta. Have any pics of your Spyderco?

THE SAR HAS LANDED!
A quick commentary to follow later - sick of typing on an iPhone.

I'm glad the SAR made it! I don't have a pic of the Spyderco, but the bottom knife in this pic is tan linen. To me it feels better than canvas. Less coarse. ![[Linked Image from i1091.photobucket.com]](http://i1091.photobucket.com/albums/i393/amflud/IMAG0307_zps946f50c2.jpg) The Spyderco scales are polished and slick, and it looks and feels like it has some type of sealant.

The abrasive coarseness of canvas is what I like about it. It remains tactile when sweaty or wet. I don't know that I've ever held linen, but have read many times about how popular it is.
The SAR has a very large handle shape and scales, but the curved ergo shape is really comfortable.

Oh, I definitely love canvas. Linen just has such a nice feel to it, though.
I was secretly hoping wouldn't like the SAR5.
Oh by the way. There are some INFImandus at Blade.

I really like the SAR. It's a beastly bushcrafter. It reminds me of the sort of knife a frontiersman would carry...stout, simple, very practical.

The RMD is my favorite Rat. They feel great, and are imminently practical. I'd love to have a FFG INFI version.

I feel that "smaller profile" 5-6" INFI are missing from the line up. The ASH, Tankbuster, SJTAC, etc are all "big" frames.
The Boss Jack was reasonable, but had the ergonomics of an three-sided engineer's scale.

The pic I saw has a saber-ground knife in it.
I have a FFG RMD. Right now it's having a deep Bowie clip ground in it to reduce even more weight.

Well, the INFImandu fits that niche. I'm tempted to have proxy snag one for me, but I keep getting bad news at home.
