You know I never was bothered before about having enough water for a Venture out in the woods. But our recent small hikes out in the Smokys made me rethink that. Each hike was about a mile round trip, one MAYBE a mile and a quarter actually to/from the truck and the trail distance. We had one 40oz bottle and didn't run out of water, but I was getting sort of concerned about half way back. We made it back with about a 4th of the water left but could have ran out if it had been any warmer.

I picked up one of the Kershaw - Emerson collaboration blades a while back and it arrived today. Pretty solidly built blade, nice and tight on lockup with NO blade play at all. I'll give more details after I've used it a little and it's had a chance to loosen up a little.
